Police in Manchester have released CCTV after a car crashed through railings and narrowly missed two passers-by.
The driver was badly injured and the crash caused extensive damage to the building.
The grey Mini Cooper S was travelling along Manchester Road towards Rochdale, when the driver lost control at about 7.15pm last Saturday evening.
The car crossed the central reservation and collided with the railings, before ploughing into the college.
Rochdale Road was closed for four hours.
The driver, a 21-year-old man, suffered head injuries and was taken to Salford Royal Infirmary for treatment. He is currently being treated in hospital and his condition remains stable, police said.
Police Constable Simon McEvoy of Rochdale division said: “We are investigating the circumstances leading up to this collision and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to call us as soon as possible.
“We are particularly keen to speak to the two witnesses in the CCTV who were walking on the pavement at the time of the crash and may be able to assist us with the investigation.”
