A video has surfaced on Reddit, titled "How The Physics Teacher Lost His Job", which shows a science experiment that went wrong.
The clip shows someone (initially thought to be a student) on the floor holding a breeze block balanced on a piece of wood on top of his chest, while a man (originally believed to be the teacher) with an axe is poised above him.
The 18-second clip then shows the "teacher" swinging the axe down, but instead of hitting the breeze block, it misses and slams into the other person's genitals.
The video finishes there, much to the frustration of everyone on Reddit, and there has been no further information on what happened afterwards, apart from comments by redditor haneefmubarak.
According to haneefmubarak, who claims to have been on of the students present filming the experiment, it was not a teacher who wielded the axe down onto the student's crotch, but "a member of faculty with the axe". He then says that the man under the bed of nails was the teacher.
Amazingly, the teacher was not hurt as the implement only "grazed" him, and he was able to continue his class afterwards.
Here's what the student said: "The dude who was hit is the teacher. He was just fine - it was a graze - not a full on partitioning. The person holding the axe is a member of staff (either an assistant principal or a hall monitor) that we asked to come help with the demonstration.
"The teacher walked funny for like a couple of days and then he was just fine. AP Physics I is fun because of stupid things like this happening."
Also, he was not fired, as the title of the clip says.
Still, it makes you flinch every time you watch it.
