We have no idea what this is, but we absolutely love it.
Presenting 'I've Fallen And I Can't Get Up' - and we apologise for taking up the next 10 minutes of your life as you play it again and again.
I've fallen, and I can't get up! from Dave Fothergill vfx on Vimeo.
Posted to Vimeo and YouTube by visual effects artist Dave Fothergill, it's described as a "crowd dynamics test using Miarmy for ;url=http://www.autodesk.com/products/maya/overview]Maya[/url]" (sorry Dave, you've lost us), which is "rendered with Arnold" (nope. Who's Arnold?)
Basically, it's a demo/test of the kind of CGI tech used in big-budget action flicks such as 'World War Z', to name just one.
And while there are lots of other similar demos available online to show what such software can do, this one seems particularly compelling, possibly because the use of little fat men in football shirts is just so… human.
Somebody help them up!
