Elizabeth Gallaghers of Canada, step on up!

This guy is looking for a girl with his ex's name to join him on an around-the-world trip

If you’re Canadian and your name is Elizabeth Gallagher - and you don’t mind going on a holiday around the world with a complete stranger - then it’s your lucky day.

27-year-old Jordan Axani is offering you a once-in-a-lifetime trip - for free.

Yesterday, Jordan posted to Reddit explaining his situation and made his offer:

“Reddit, I need your help.

“You see, in March I booked a fairly wicked trip around the world for this Christmas for my ex and I. While our relationship has come to a close, I am still planning on going on the trip and she is not (naturally). And because I hate the idea of a ticket around the world going to waste, I am looking for a Canadian named Elizabeth Gallagher who could use the ticket.”

Jordan says he has no romantic intentions and that whoever takes the ticket is under no obligation to even hang out with him.

“We can travel together and see some cool stuff - or not. I'm easy and have no problem with someone taking the tickets and doing their own thing (see ya on the plane!). Embracing the spontaneity of life is more my thing, though, so if you want to travel together (and are not an axe murder) I’m likely game.”

The trip itinerary does look pretty tempting:

December 21: NYC —> Milan

December 28: Prague —> Paris

December 29: Paris —> Bangkok

January 7: Bangkok —> New Delhi

January 8: New Delhi —> Toronto

Nice.

Jordan says that because of the number of flights and different airlines involved, “a name change on a ticket is damn near impossible”.

The deal is for the plane tickets only - food and accommodation are up to the new Elizabeth Gallagher.

And Jordan only has a few stipulations for his traveling companion.

"1. Be sane, smart and (hopefully) interesting.

2. Have always wanted to travel, but maybe haven't had the opportunity or cash to see much of the world.

3. Be named Elizabeth Gallagher and have a Canadian passport.

4. Be ready for a rather spontaneous life experience that will, one day, be an epic story that you'll tell your kids.

5. Pay it forward. I’ve been lucky in life and this is me giving back to the universe. Do something similar someday."

Various Elizabeth Gallaghers have already contacted Jordan including this lady who posted the following to Reddit:

“My name is Liz ( Elizabeth) Gallagher. I'm Canadian ... But I'm old enough to be his Mom. If there's no younger person to step up I'd have to say it would be interesting. My girls ( 25 and 23 ) tell me DO IT MOM! they wish now that they had my name.”

Who knows? Could be fun. Could be dangerous.

Could just be incredibly awkward.
