The Tralee Burger King has issued a statement regarding THOSE Facebook comments

See, this is why you should trust nobody on April Fool's Day. Especially on the internet

This morning, we brought you

Read More:

The Burger King Tralee page first posted in February of last year and, for a few days, responded to customer queries about wait times and gluten-free options. Their last post before yesterday's comment was on February 17th , 2014 and it appears that it has been fairly inactive ever since.

This afternoon, the Burger King in Tralee released a statement saying the page was in fact 'pretending' to be their official page and that it does not reflect their views.

From Tralee Today:

“We acknowledge that certain comments were posted on a Facebook page pretending to be Burger King Tralee. This is not an official Facebook page for Burger King Tralee.

"The comments that were made by an individual were unfortunate and do not reflect the views of Burger King Tralee. We apologise for any offence caused by the comments of this individual.”

So there you have it. No free pancakes for anyone.

At the time of publication, the Facebook page is still active.
