‘The MakeUp Fairy’ opens up about overcoming online hate and her struggles with body image
Joanne Larby has opened up about overcoming online hate and her struggles with body image in her new podcast, The Other Side Of Perfect.
The Irish blogger, better known as The MakeUp Fairy, announced the news of her new venture in an Instagram post earlier this month and last night the inaugural episode was made live.
The Dublin native promises to leave “no stone unturned”, giving her followers a real and raw insight look into her life.
Speaking about the official launch, Larby said: “This has been a passion project of mine for a few months and I’m so excited to finally launch.
I’ve worked in this industry for seven years and to be honest had reached a bit of a funk. I felt uninspired and although I love creating ever-evolving content I wanted to do something with a lot more substance
“We’re talking depth filled matters, the knitty gritty and the downright dirty. There will also be an agony aunt style segment where anonymous questions are covered.”
The content creator has shared some of her followers' reactions to the first episode on her Instagram stories.
“Loved it. Gave it five stars. So honest,” one said.
While another added: “I loved loved loved the podcast. Incredible honest and articulate”
Others said it was the first podcast they ever listened to.
