The Gardaí stopped a DeLorean and tweeted a great Back To The Future reference

This morning, the Garda Traffic account shared a photo of a fairly dead-on looking DeLorean (the car from Back To The Future) that was stopped at the side of the road.

And of course, they couldn't resist tweeting a reference to the beloved Eighties classic:

"Great Scott! ....I don’t care what year you say you are going to, you can’t do 88mph here Doc!"

We're not sure if the driver was actually speeding - or if the guards just wanted to take a closer look at the impressive detail on the car.

And everyone's loving it.
