PICTURES: Limerick woman transforms herself into Nelson Mandela - using only facepaint

You'd be forgiven for thinking this was just a painting of Nelson Mandela. And in a way it is.

This is the amazing work of Maria Malone-Guerbaa. And she is one seriously talented lady.

The mother-of-two, who is originally from Limerick but now living in London, has the abilty to turn herself into practically anyone she wants - without using prosthetics.

Maria uses only paint to transform her face into anyone from Lionel Richie to the Queen. She's also not half-bad at turning herself into an animal.

The Limerick woman lives with her husband and two kids in London, where they own a chain of cafés.

Maria told the Daily Mail that she has always had a passion for art but didn't feel there was anywhere in Ireland where she could specialise in the kind of art and make-up she liked. She ended up moving to London where she met her husband.

Maria put her artistic career on hold to raise her family and concentrate on the business but, several years ago, she decided to start up again, enrolling in a make-up academy in Camden where she focused on special effects.

Since setting up her Facebook page, her celebrity transformations have gone viral and rightly so. Not only does she paint these amazingly realistic faces, she does it by herself, on herself.

Wow.

Do you think she does birthday parties?
