A sad and ugly sign of the times and a terrible omen for things to come, a hashtag is trending on Twitter asking people to describe 2016 in three words #2016in3words and it is depressing reading.
From the rise of Donald Trump to the fall of Cameron’s Britain, the trouble in the Middle East, the devastating acts of terrorism and the loss of a number of high profile celebrities, 2016 has brought a lot of WTF moments to the world and it is showing no signs of slowing down.
Following the failed political coup in Turkey last night, the social media world was spurred into action and it took the form of this hashtag: #2016in3words.
