A nine-year-old child prodigy from Belguim is set to become the youngest person to graduate from university.
Laurent Simons is studying electrical engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology and is due to complete his studies in December, after just nine months of studying.
Simons finished school aged eight, taking up summer courses for gifted children at Stanford and Fairfield in the US.
His father told CNN that he plans to enroll in a PhD program and study for a medicine degree.
Teachers told Laurent's father he is like a sponge when it comes to information, with an IQ of 145. However this number could be higher, as 145 was the limit of the test he took, according to the Inquirer.net.
