Michael Healy-Rae has just launched his election music video

The General Election has yet to be called but the campaigning is already under way.

First out of the traps is Kerry South TD Michael Healy-Rae who, this morning, released a music video to promote his campaign to be returned to the Dáil.

Written and performed by local Kerry band Truly Diverse, it seems to be a reworking of this song from Marty Mone and features lines such as:

"Make your vote and pray, that he goes all the way. He’s flat to the mat with his black cap and there’s no time for tae."

Healy-Rae says the band "did a great job" and also went on to say "there might be more to come in the coming weeks".

You've been warned.
