#LoveAtFirstFlight pair reunite on the Ray D'Arcy Show

An Irish lad and the Canadian girl who he’s been searching for ever since they met on a flight last week have been reunited live on radio. It was very sweet. And only a little awkward.

And he’s taking her out on date tomorrow. Yay!

Listen to the adorable reunion on Today FM's Ray D'Arcy Show here:

Jamie Kelly, 24, from Ballinasloe met Katie Moreau, 27, from Nova Scotia when they sat next to each other on a Ryanair flight from Barcelona to Dublin. The pair hit it off, talking for the entire flight but unfortunately they got separated when Katie went through passport control while Jamie nipped to the loo.

While they both looked around for the other at the airport, they each headed off alone, wondering what might have been.

However, what could have just been a brief but memorable encounter has turned into an international campaign and possibly romance.

Jamie couldn’t stop thinking about Katie so his friends came up with the #loveatfirstflight campaign on Twitter to find Katie.

And it worked!

After being picked up by Canadian media, Katie’s sister guessed it was her and the pair were finally reunited live on air this morning.

As Katie hasn’t had much internet connection in the last few days, she was unaware of how big this campaign has gotten and she was a little shocked - but she said she was mostly flattered at the work Jamie had done to find her again.

The online appeal definitely captured the internet’s imagination with many tweeting their approval of the romantic Jamie and his quest to #findkatie.

And now that she’s been found, Katie is on her way to Waterford where she will meet Jamie who is travelling down from gGalway.

Hopefully, there won’t be too much pressure and those two crazy kids will hit it off. We’ll keep you updated.
