Is that a shark swimming in the Grand Canal at Portobello?

It looks like it. But looks can be deceiving.

Is that a shark swimming in the Grand Canal at Portobello?

There's been a few videos and photos uploaded to social media this afternoon of what looks very like a shark swimming around in the Grand Canal by the Portobello lock.

Take a look.

Hmm… Should we be worried about that swan?

Here's a different angle.

While it is convincing, don’t worry, it's still safe to go in the water (although we don't recommend going into the canal) - it is, of course, a prank. You can buy motorised fins whose only purpose is to give people a bit of a fright and it seems one guy decided to take one for a spin n the canal.

Mission=accomplished.

Thanks to Rebecca McNally for sending us the video
