The second season of Dancing with the Stars Ireland kicked off last night, with a new host of celebs taking to the tiles.
With the coveted Glitterball trophy at stake, the public tuned in curious to see how the stars would do.
Last night the men stepped up to the plate, with the women dancing next week. So it was all eyes on the likes of Rob Heffernan, Bernard O’Shea and Marty Morrissey.
And as is the nature of the show, the public were quick to voice their opinions on Twitter.
Many were impressed with Jake Carter, the younger brother of Nathan and the youngest contestant in the show.
Very solid first dance from Jake Carter #DWTSIrl

Former rugby star Tomás O’Leary remained upbeat about his middling score.
Mid-table is actually what we were going for. I always secretly wanted to be in the centre @RossOCK #DWTSIrl pic.twitter.com/pUorq6YR6S

Many wondered if Bernard O’Shea would be a surprise package.
If Bernard is half a good a dancer as Eamon, he'll be alright #TeamBernard #DWTSIrl pic.twitter.com/8TNZiwDJ5h

And his employers couldn’t resist this tweet.
We’ll just leave this here. #DWTSIrl pic.twitter.com/ZEyiSw6OwI

People were not impressed with Brian giving him a two.
He needn't worry, he still has plenty of support.
I want Bernard to win. Full Stop #DWTSIrl

But the bulk of the reaction was saved for one man. Marty Morrissey.
A country hasn’t expected so much of one man @MartyM_RTE since Collins was sent to meet with Lloyd George, Churchill & Birkenhead. #DWTSIrl

However, the best tweet of the night was in relation to Rob Heffernan.
Class.
