Feminist collective founded in Cork gains international attention

The Bunny Collective was founded in 2013 by Samantha Conlon, a graduate of Crawford College of Art and Design in Cork.

The artist collective has since been featured in Dazed and Confused, i-D and more recently the New York Times.

Conlon and the Bunny Collective have shown work in London, Helsinki, New York, Montreal, San Francisco and all around Ireland.

The all female identifying group of artists mainly conduct their work online, through Skype or Google docs, as members are now based in Ireland, the UK and New York.

Conlon says although she really enjoys art, it's a harsh place to make a career.

"You lose a lot of money, people don't respect it much, you're expected to work for free".

On the brighter side, she says "many artists have a lot of skill sets so it makes work exciting".

The Bunny Collective have now begun production of a magazine which is now available on their website, here.

We can't wait to see what they do next.
