Dublin restaurant in search of couple who left heart warming note after meal

So turns out food really is the way to a man's heart.

Dublin restaurant in search of couple who left heart warming note after meal

If there was ever doubt that the way to a man's heart is good food...

Colin, the general manager of Dublin restaurant Brasserie 7, contacted us to see if we could be of any help to them in finding a couple who ate in their restaurant recently.

On November 11 a couple decided to have a meal out in Brasserie 7.

So impressed with the excellent service and warm atmosphere the man, who is only known to them as Paul, left a note for the staff.

Little did the house staff know how their actions would impact on this couple's future.

The message was much more than a simple thank you note.

Paul penned a note on a napkin to inform the staff that due to the ambience and great service he had proposed to his girlfriend.

And guess what, she said yes!

Unfortunately the love birds left without saying anything or leaving their names and numbers.

Colin is now hoping that he can track them down to congratulate them and offer them a celebratory meal in Brasserie 7.

"This seems to have been very spontaneous," he said.

"And it brought a warm glow to our hearts, with a true-life, feel good story"

Colin has also been in contact with TodayFM and Ray Darcy in the hope of finding the newly engaged couple so if by some chance you are reading this Paul, or indeed Mrs Paul to be, drop us a line and we will put you in touch with the restaurant.

And from all of us here on the BreakingNews team, congratulations.
