It has been revealed that drivers in Dublin travel at the slowest city centre speeds in the world.
It's no surprise really, given the tailback of traffic at Newlands Cross heading into the city centre. And that's before hitting the Naas Road.
The average speed in the capital at peak times is just 9.6 kilometres an hour, according to a new study by motor data company Inrix.
The study also found that Dublin drivers were the third highest globally to spend large amounts of time in traffic.
Last year, drivers in the capital spent almost 250 hours in traffic.
One man in Dublin spoke of his commutes of up to an hour a day:
It takes me between 45 minutes and an hour and a half because I have to go the M50. You have to kind of switch off or else you start screaming and shouting at everybody around you but they can't hear you so you can't win.
"I live so far north and I work so far south there's no public transport to bring me there. I'd love an underground like London but that would take so many years I'd have moved jobs by then."
