This is hilarious!

Donegal couple shock wedding guests with surprise entrance

Donegal bride and groom, Gráinne and Jamie Corry, wanted to give guests at their nuptials a story to last a lifetime.

So, after being announced as ‘Mr & Mrs Corry’ at their wedding reception, the guests were left puzzled after Jamie and Gráinne failed to make their entrance.

The couple from Kilmacrennan, Co Donegal, married on Saturday and the wedding guests in the Silver Tassie Hotel & Spa in Letterkenny had no idea what was coming.

Speaking to breakingnews.ie wedding photographer Paul Doherty, who also happens to be Gráinne's brother, explained how it all came together.

“It was all Gráinne’s idea! She thought it up and we all came together to kind of script it. It was so much fun to do and no one expected it.

“It took about two days to film everything. It was really hard to keep hard to keep it quiet in a small place like Kilmacrennan, but we did it!”

Paul can be seen as the overzealous snapper as the video begins with the couple’s wedding pictures in the woods.

Jamie and Gráinne have been together for six and a half years and got engaged about two and a half years ago after what Jamie describes as a “wee romantic stroll.”

The happy couple, Jamie and Gráinne Corry.

The biggest question for us was if Gráinne had actually used her wedding dress in the video? Of course she didn’t and the bride explained to us she bought a similar looking knock-off to her beautiful gown from Ebay.

She did however have to take the scissors to the decoy dress as it was apparently two feet too long for her to pull off the impressive sprints you see in the video.

When asked about the scene where she fixes the car, the bride told us that the video is filled with family humour.

“It’s a little in-joke really. When I first introduced Jamie to my family he thought he would show off by saying he could fix anything.

“So we had a broken quad bike and Jamie said he’d fix it no bother. Well, after two hours of trying Jamie gave up!”

“It was a bad job and the joke has run ever since in our house.”

The loving couple even emigrated to Australia together and have just recently returned from Melbourne. They now plan to stay at home and Gráinne explained where she got the inspiration for the video.

“I’d seen videos from America and other places and I really wanted to do something different,” said the bride.

Petrol head Jamie for his part was a little iffy about doing the video at the start, however he was totally on board once the opportunity came around to drive one of the Subaru rally cars he loves so much.

Local mechanic Denis Ferry of Ferry′s Garage in Letterkenny provided the rally car and Jamie enjoyed every second of the spin.

“Aye, it was fantasic! Denis was brilliant and was coming up with ideas himself.

“Those cars are just immaculate and it was brilliant to get the chance to drive one because I love Subarus.”

The crowd go mental as Gráinne and Jamie finally walk into the room, they both say the reaction to the video was “fantastic” and totally made their wedding night.

The couple head to Mauritius for their honeymoon tomorrow and Jamie added he is “very lucky” to have Gráinne as his wife.

The Corry’s (we're sure Gráinne is still getting used to that) wanted to also thank Joey Mc Daid from Peter McLean Wedding Cars and Mollys Sweet Shop along with Nora’s pub in Kilmacrennan for being such good sports and letting them film the video.

Congratulations to the happy couple, we hope they are very happy together!
