Customer wins £15,896.91 for £1 bet in Co Down

The staff in a Boylesports betting shop in Co Down paid out £15,896.91 to a customer who spent £1 on the winning bet.

The bet was a 29 selection accumulator involving a number of Euro 2020 qualifier games, including Ireland, England and Scotland games.

The accumulator also included bets such as both teams to score.

Boylesports spokesperson Sarah Kinsella wished the customer the well with their winnings:

"We are thrilled with the big news that emerged yesterday from our Co Down betting shop that one lucky customer turned his £1 into nearly £16,000!

"It’s hard enough to land a treble never mind 29 selections! We wish our customer the very best with their winnings
