Foodies rejoice - the Cork Gourmet Trail is back for another year and is set to be bigger and better than ever.
The event is run as part of the Murphy’s Cork Oyster and Seafood Festival with the theme of this year’s trail being maritime with prizes for ‘most seafaring hat’ to be won at the end of the day.
Cork's most renowned restaurants are taking part in the day-long event this autumn.
Set to take place on September 21, the Cork Gourmet Trail begins with a drinks reception at the Metropole Hotel on MacCurtain Street in the city centre.
From there, a culinary tour of Cork begins, hitting The Met, Cask, Dwyers of Cork, Greenes, The Oyster Tavern, Electric, Soho, Tequila Jacks, The New Yorker Bar & Bistro, Olivo at the Cork Airport Hotel, the Cornstore, Gallaghers, the Bodega and Arthur Maynes.
The tour which is set to finish up at around 5.30pm will be followed by an afterparty at the Metropole with a special appearance from The Frank & Walters.
Throughout the Cork Oyster & Seafood Festival weekend, which runs from September 20 to 22, the Guinness Book of Records fastest Oyster shucker, Paddy the Shucker and The Lazy Chef, Simon Lamont will be on hand for people to take a stab at.
Tickets for the various events taking place over the weekend can be found here and for the Gourmet Trail can be found here.
We are delighted to announce @DwyersOfCork as a participating venue for the #CorkOysterFest in association with @MurphysCork.
