Chapters Bookstore in Dublin have published a parody sketch on their social media titled 'Unit 1: How to shelve books'.
Posted to Twitter and Facebook yesterday, the film's presenter, Killian Beashel, guides the viewer through a number of elaborate tasks.
We've decided to open our archives to the public, and share our old staff training videos for aspiring booksellers to learn from. Here's Unit 1: Shelving, hosted by none other than @KillianBeashel "Bookseller to the Stars."

The video's creators, Megan Devaney and Stephen Jordan, were definitely surprised by the reaction to video but "loved the feedback" and were pleased that "a lot of people found it funny and got the style of humour we were aiming for."
The entire film was recorded on Devaney's phone in Chapters Bookstore and the creators said the video editing of the footage by Devaney was crucial for "nailing the cheesy aesthetic" that they wanted.
Further episodes are planned featuring different members of Chapters bookstore staff in various scenarios to be posted on a regular basis.
Jordan and Devaney hoped that "in a world of faceless, corporate and online bookselling" the video would stress that Chapters is "an independent, family-run bookshop, with tonnes of personality."
