Babel called out after sexist twitter rant against female fan
Former Liverpool striker Ryan Babel has come under fire for an extraordinary Twiiter rant in which he advised a female soccer fan to "concentrate on growing some tits instead of speaking about football".
The fan had taken him to task over comments he recently made about former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez. Babel hit back with an attempt to shut the debate down through insult.
After criticism of his reply, in which he also told the fan: "Ur a girl.. Stay in ur lane..", Babel said that "of course" women could be football fans, but added he just wasn't prepared to argue with them about any aspect of the game.
He also told the fan to let her brother or boyfriend make the comments instead.
The exchange prompted followers to advise him to "just deactivate now man" and to "chill".
