Recession encouraging spirit of entrepreneurship in Irish, study finds
Despite the recession more than 1,000 Irish people a month set up their own business in 2009.
A new EU study on entrepreneurship has revealed that nearly half of Irish people would like to be their own boss.
This is higher than the European average of 45%.
Most Irish people believe that good ideas are the most important aspect when starting a new business, the study found.
