The vast majority of CEOs in Ireland's top 50 multinationals say the Lisbon Treaty will help create new jobs and preserve existing ones, according to a group campaigning in favour of the treaty.
We Belong says a survey it commissioned found that 90% of multinational chief executives believe the perception of Ireland in Europe is important in terms of job creation.
Ninety-four per cent also said an increase in demand for Irish exports was important for the country's economic recovery.
Meanwhile, the employers' body IBEC says 90% of its members believe a 'Yes' vote would support foreign investment in Ireland.
It says acceptance of the treaty would remove uncertainty about Ireland's commitment to Europe.
Elsewhere, former European Parliament president Pat Cox said today that the consequences of next month's vote would mark Ireland for a generation.
Speaking in Dublin, the former MEP said Europe was the only platform Ireland had for economic recovery.
