IT staff at AIB approve outsourcing proposals

Members of the Irish Bank Officials' Association (IBOA) working in AIB's IT division have voted to accept outsourcing proposals.

It means around 220 staff will transfer to technology service providers Infosys and Wipro.

The IBOA said that a key feature of the transfers is enhanced job security for workers involved, as well as protection for the pension entitlements achieved during the course of their employment with AIB.
