IBM denies job loss reports
IBM is playing down reports of job cuts worldwide.
Newspaper reports have claimed up to 4,000 jobs will go when the acquisition of the consultancy arm of Price-Waterhouse Cooper goes through.
IBM employs Irish consultants as part of its global services unit based in Dublin.
However, the company says the deal has not yet been approved by the US regulatory bodies, and it would be foolish to speculate about cuts at this stage.
