Cork vegan food company Dee’s Wholefoods has secured a lucrative deal with Dutch retailer Jumbo.
This will be the first steps into the mainland European market that the company, which featured on the Irish edition of Dragon's Den, has taken.
The rapidly expanding Jumbo retail group now commands almost a quarter (24.8%) of the Dutch grocery market. The deal will bring Dee’s Wholefoods products to almost 600 stores across the country.
"This is a huge and very exciting step forward for the business and will allow us to create three new jobs here in Cork," said the company’s founder, Deirdre Collins.
"The Netherlands is one of the most mature, yet vibrant and dynamic markets in the world and it is fantastic to be able to bring our products to Dutch consumers."
