Consumer Agency appoints chief executive
The Board of the National Consumer Agency today announced that it has appointed Ann Fitzgerald to the position of chief executive.
Ms Fitzgerald has held the role of acting chief executive since the NCA was established on a statutory basis in May 2007.
She had previously acted as executive chair of the NCA following its establishment on an interim basis in 2005 on the recommendation of the Consumer Strategy Group.
Ms Fitzgerald chaired the Consumer Strategy Group, which was set up by the Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment in March 2004, to develop proposals for a national consumer strategy.
