Woman becomes world's oldest yoga teacher

A 98-year-old woman has become the world's oldest yoga teacher.

Connie Dennison is expected to take the title away from 96-year-old Canadian lady Ida Herbert after it emerged she has been holding a yoga class, which starts at 10am sharp, for the past 40 years in Dunfermline, east Scotland.

She told Scotsman.com: "I'm quite sure that I'd be in a wheelchair if I didn't have yoga.

"My lefts have been stronger since I started and it has helped me and my family."

A Guinness World Records spokesperson said: "Guinness World Records is extremely happy to hear about Mrs Dennison's achievement."
