Scottish police hunt meat-loving thieves

Two late night looters in the UK have stolen a 70lb kebab slab.

Police are on the hunt for the mischievous meat eaters who were caught on CCTV stealing the foodstuff in the early hours after a raid on a takeaway shop in Midlothian, Scotland.

As well as the huge slab of doner meat, the thieves took 10kg of raw chicken and a number of shish kebabs – but they didn't touch anything from the till full of cash, instead concentrating all their efforts on getting plenty of the low-budget grub.

Kebab Mahal owner Azher Rashid was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "They were a bit dumb, to be honest, it was like something you would see on that TV programme, 'America’s Dumbest Criminals'.

"Within a few hours, the doner would have defrosted and they wouldn’t have had anything to cook it with. Most likely, they have dumped it."
