Police in the US mistook a goat for a man screaming out in pain.

A concerned resident of Putnam County, Flordia, called officers in after hearing a man screaming for help, but when the authorities went to investigate they discovered the cries were in fact coming from a goat, who was tied to a fence.

Deputy Will Page wrote in the incident report: “When I arrived, I spoke to the complainant. We could hear what appeared to be a man screaming for help in the direction of a residence on Jackson Passage north of Edwards Lane.

"Deputy Page went in that direction looking for the screamer. It was actually coming from a goat that was tied to a fence.

“I spoke to the owner, who stated that he was going to take care of the goat. We then returned to the complainant and notified her that everything was ok.”
