Interviewers in China are demanding to sniff wannabe pilots' armpits.
The bizarre test takes place to ensure a pilot isn't going to produce sweat when they are flying a plane and put people off with their body odour, and people have even been turned down for the job based on their armpit smell.
One rejected applicant explained: "I passed everything but I was doomed by my armpits, which are always a bit whiffy."
Wannabe pilots must also possess a "pleasant face" and be no taller than 6' 2".
One pilot tester said: "Our staff work very closely with the public and no passenger wants to smell a pilot's armpits.
"And if they can keep their cool in this test, they aren't going to sweat in the cockpit."
