Chinese man sells breast milk to rich adults on a health kick
New mothers in China are earning up to 120,000 yuan (€14,000) by donating their breast milk to adults.
Mums in the province of Shenzhen have started cashing in after demand for the product, which is usually fed to newborn babies, soared among those who believe it will make them healthier.
The demand is so high that Lin Jun has started his own breastfeeding agency and is tasked with finding young mothers, who can earn a minimum of 8,000 yuan (€990) by donating their milk, for rich clients.
When he finds suitable candidates they are then employed by the client for eight months, following a successful interview, as cleaners, cooks or babysitters, with no reference made to breastfeeding.
He told the Shanghai Daily: "Breast milk is the best tonic, especially for those people who have just undergone major surgeries.
"If it is necessary, the customers may directly feed from the young mothers' breasts."
