'Bit wonky' sat nav takes driver to Croatia instead of Belgium

A motorist has accidentally driven to Croatia instead of Belgium.

Sabine Moureau, 67, was so reliant on her satnav she didn't even notice the journey back home to Brussels - which was supposed to take one hour - had gone terribly wrong as she ended up in Zagreb, 1,450km from her home, flandersnews.be reports.

Sabine claims she did not realise she was going the wrong way even though she had to stop to sleep for two hours and fill up her car twice.

She explained: "I was absent-minded so I kept putting my foot down.

"I switched on the GPS and punched in the address. Then I started out. My GPS seemed a bit wonky. It sent me on diversions and that's where it must have gone wrong."
