Gardaí in Offaly are investigating what has been described as an "aggravated robbery" last night.

Gardaí in Offaly are investigating what has been described as an "aggravated robbery" last night.

It happened at a house on the Rathangan road in Edenderry at about 9pm.

Two males entered the house and demanded money from three men in their 50s who were inside.

The pair escaped with a small amount of cash.

Gardaí said nobody was injured in the incident, and their investigation is continuing.
