Irish Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch will join the Minister for Education Mary Hanafin today for a visit to the Centre for the Talented Youth of Ireland (CTYI) at Dublin City University (DCU).
Evanna, 15, star of Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix and student of CTYI, will welcome the Minister to the centre, which over the years has produced many young talented people, including teen novelist Claire Hennessy.
Evanna will be flying in from London, following a reading with JK Rowling for the launch of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at the weekend.
CTYI is a youth programme for students between the ages of six and 16 and of high academic ability.
It runs every summer at DCU from June until the end of July.
The centre offers courses gifted students, including Science of Tomorrow, Me & My Body, Intro To Chess and Zoology.
