A wingsuit diver who disappeared during a trial flight in China on Tuesday has been found dead.

A wingsuit diver who disappeared during a trial flight in China on Tuesday has been found dead.

Chinese state media said that Hungarian wingsuit flyer, Victor Kovats, went missing after plunging into a valley in Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park in the central province of Hunan.

His parachute had failed to deploy and hundreds of police officers and firefighters who searched for him found his body yesterday.

The Red Bull World Wingsuit League said: "We are deeply saddened by Victor Kovats’ passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to his parents and friends during these difficult times

"He will be always be remembered for his deep passion for life and his spirit of adventure."

They said Kovats had completed 700 jumps, as well as 1,250 skydives and 250 base jumps.
