CCTV footage has emerged showing the moment a gunman opened fire on a pizzeria in central Paris last Friday night.

In what is the first CCTV footage released of the Paris attack, a gunman can be seen approaching the pizzeria as shots are fired towards the busy restaurant.

The video footage, obtained by the Daily Mail, shows those inside the restaurant react quickly to the gunfire by using the tables for cover. A waiter, Samir, can be seen running down the stairs to safety as shots continue to fire.

No one was killed in the footage that has emerged today, though some suffered injuries.

The video is broken into three parts, filmed from three different perspectives of 55 seconds, two minutes and 35 seconds and a final 32 second section.

One woman, Lucille, can be seen running into the building holding her wrist. She then hides behind the counter as a 20-year-old waitress named Jasmine comforts her.

The gunman approaches the door and aims his gun at two women who had hided beneath a table outside. The gun is aimed at them, but not fired.

According to the paper, one of the women later said that they’d heard a clicking noise and it seems the gun could have jammed or run out of ammunition.

The gunman then leaves the scene and can be seen fleeing in a black vehicle, which pulls up outside the restaurant.

The women run to safety as soon as the gunman leaves and those inside the restaurant are left confused as to what has just happened.

Security sources believe the video shows 26-year-old Salah Abdeslam, an alleged “eighth attacker”, who is still on the run.
