Saudi Arabia has condemned the passsing of a new law in the United States that allows 9/11 families sue the kingdom for damages.

The country says its a matter of "great concern" in a statement issued overnight.

It is after the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to approve legislation that will allow the families of those killed in the 2001 attacks to seek damages from the Saudi government.

Saudi Arabia's warned the erosion of sovereign immunity will have a negative impact on all nations.
