WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, has been heckled at a British Arts festival today.

It was after he evaded answering a question about Private Bradley Manning.

The American soldier is under arrest in the US for transferring thousands of classified documents to the WikiLeaks organisation.

During an appearance at the Hay Festival of Literature in mid-Wales, Assange was asked if his own time in prison had made him better appreciate Private Manning's plight.

He was jeered when he gave a vague response, before claiming that activists' questions about the conditions Private Manning is being held in were directly responsible for an improvement in his situation.
