Police have arrested two men in connection with the killing of a plumber in a London cafe.

Richard Rayner, 43, was shot dead in the River Bank Cafe, in Bow, on May 25.

Scotland Yard said two men - aged 21 and 19 - were arrested yesterday. They are being held at two east London police stations.

Police are offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

Mr Rayner, of Sherwood Gardens, Millwall, was working for his brother's company in Gillender Street at the time of the incident.

Police are anxious to speak to anyone who saw a man walking, then running away from the cafe shortly after the shooting.

The man is described as male, black, about 5ft 6ins and was wearing dark clothing with a black crash helmet.

He ran off in the direction of the A12, where it is possible he got on to a motorbike.
