Four years ago, she was the star of the Republican National Convention. Now Sarah Palin is upset after interviews with her were dropped from the television network where she is working.

The former vice presidential candidate posted on her Facebook page yesterday that she was "sorry Fox (News Channel) cancelled all my scheduled interviews" for the evening.

She said she wanted to honour John McCain, who selected her as his running mate in 2008.

Fox executive Bill Shine said the network's plans changed because the Republicans had to condense their schedule of speeches from four nights to three because of Hurricane Isaac. He said Fox looked forward to having Mrs Palin back soon.

The former Alaska governor, a paid Fox contributor, was on the network on Monday and Tuesday.
