Three people have been found dead in a Swiss Alpine town, police say.

Bern canton (state) police spokeswoman Ramona Mock said officers found three bodies near the railway station in Wilderswil, in central Switzerland, after being called to the scene early this morning.

She had no further details on the incident or the cause of death.

Local media reported that the three were victims of a shooting.
