Syria's President Bashar Al Assad has criticised the effectiveness of the US-led coalition in defeating the so-called Islamic State in his country.
He has told Czech TV a year of western airstrikes have failed to stop the advance of the militants.
But he claims Russia's recent intervention has been far more positive.
