Several people have been injured, one seriously, following a shooting at a hotel on La Rambla in Barcelona.
Police are hunting a number of suspects following the attack on Pinto Fortuny street in the tourist centre of the city.
It has been reported that two people fired shots at guests at the Silken Hotel before fleeing the scene.
The shooting was preceded by an attempted robbery of a foreign tourist.
It has been reported that during the manhunt for the attackers, police killed one of the two gunmen.
At least one person sustained serious injuries, while several people received bullet and stab wounds.
A regional police official said that police are as yet unable to say what the motive for the shooting was.
The incident occurred where the city’s tourist-popular boulevard, Las Ramblas, intersects with Pintor Fortuny street. There were no details on the nationalities of the people involved.
