Several people have been injured in an explosion in front of the US Embassy in the Turkish capital Ankara, reports say.

Several people have been injured in an explosion in front of the US Embassy in the Turkish capital Ankara, reports say.

An Associated Press journalist saw a body in the street in front of an embassy side entrance.

It was not immediately clear what the cause of the blast was.

State-run TRT television says the blast has caused injuries and several ambulances were dispatched to the area.
