School bans whistles for being 'too aggressive'
Blowing a whistle to mark the end of lunchtime has been banned by a UK school for being "too aggressive".
It is thought the noise might alarm some children and make them afraid.
Instead, teachers have to raise their hand to show children that playtime is over, and hope that they notice.
A teacher at St Monica's Catholic Primary School in Milton Keynes in the UK is complaining about the ban, saying: "God forbid they should have to gather the children in an emergency."
