More than a dozen passengers have been injured in a collision between two trains in Amsterdam, reports say.
The evening collision was between two passenger trains near the city’s Westerpark, said local news network AT5.
AT5 posted photos on its website showing two trains that appeared to have collided head-on.
Both trains were still on the rails and did not appear to have major damage.
Dutch rail network operator Prorail reported a collision on its website but gave no further details of possible injuries.
Later reports citing an Dutch Railways spokesman said 48 people had injuries ranging from scratches to broken bones.
Prorail spokesman Jouke Schaartsma said an intercity train had collided with a smaller local train called a sprinter, but said he had no details of injuries.
