Police at Chris Brown's home after woman calls for help

Officers have been sent to singer Chris Brown's Los Angeles home after a woman called police for assistance, according to authorities.

Police spokesman Chris Ramirez said that the call came early on Tuesday from outside the residence in the Tarzana neighbourhood of the city.

He did not say what assistance the woman needed, but said detectives hope to talk to Brown, the woman and any witnesses.

Officer Lyle Knight said that police are waiting for a judge to approve a search warrant for the home in the San Fernando Valley area.

Multiple police vehicles were parked at the scene.

The Grammy-winning singer has had multiple run-ins with law enforcement officials.

He spent six years on probation after pleading guilty to attacking his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
