Colombia's government and the country's biggest rebel group have announced a deal to end one of the world's longest-running armed conflicts.
The agreement stops over 50 years of violence that has claimed more than 220,000 lives and driven five million people from their homes.
The deal with the FARC group must still be ratified by voters.
Colombia's president Juan Manuel Santos says national hope has become reality: Colombians, Today I speak to you with deep emotion and great joy.
Today is the beginning of the end of suffering and pain of the tragedy of war.”
